IRVINE, Calif. (PRWEB) August 07, 2019 — The Breast Center of Irvine is pleased and proud to announce that
it has received an IRS determination letter indicating exemption from federal income tax under IRC Section
501(c)(3). This makes the Breast Center a recognized non-profit, allowing it to attract funding in pursuit of
fulfilling its mission.
This is a major milestone which further strengthens our ability to support our residents in Orange County. The
Breast Center is a recently established organization, which makes this achievement a major event in our plan to
establish the Breast Center as a provider of mammograms and other related screenings to referred patients
regardless of insurance or other financial barriers.

According to the latest Breast Cancer Facts & Figures published by the American Cancer Society, over 250,000
women and about 2,500 men in the United States will be diagnosed with breast cancer in 2017 alone; and of
those numbers, approximately 40,000 women and 500 men will die from breast cancer. Breast cancer screening
with a mammogram plays a key role in early detection of breast cancer. It reduces the risk of dying from breast
cancer by about 20%-40%.
About the Breast Center of Irvine: A newly formed 501(c)(3) organization, our mission is to provide
individualized breast care services to referred patients without regard to insurance or financial resources, in a
comfortable, personalized environment. Our vision is to provide breast cancer screening and diagnostic services
for underinsured, uninsured and the underserved in Southern California, concentrating in Orange County,
California. The Breast Center works with other non-profit organizations to ensure we cast a wide net to provide
services to those that most need them. For more information, please visit www.breastcenterofirvine.org.
